Welcomes and greetings are one of my favorite things. They are the antithesis of the “difficult-airport-goodbye”, which as we know can be either really hard, or just slightly awkward as you try not to make the scene that everyone is expecting.
Welcomes are the antidote. There’s nothing quite as fulfilling to the host as inviting someone into their home and really having them feel the love that goes with it. At the same time, its hard to find something as generous and openhanded as someone genuinely inviting you into their lives.
I’d like you to take this moment as a authentic, bona fide welcome. Welcome to my music, my thoughts, my place. I feel really good about it, and I hope you do too..
